Our 2021-22 Annual Report highlights our activities between June 1, 2021, and May 31, 2022.
During that time, we focused on ensuring our activities align with current and upcoming legislative requirements. The Alberta Government is making significant changes to the Health Professions Act, which guides how we regulate dental assistants in the public interest. They are also introducing the Labour Mobility Act to make it easier for Canadian professionals to become regulated when they relocate in Canada. Ensuring that we comply with the changes has been a significant part of work.
In addition to our legislative work, we also introduced new programs and adjusted existing ones where needed to connect more effectively with our communities. For example, our new Regulatory Compliance Advisors have been busy responding to your requests and developing resources to support dental assistant practice.
