Dental assistants in Brooks and Calgary may return to full practice.
Dental assistants may return to full practice as of May 14, 2020.
Dental assistants must follow our Guidelines for Return to Non-essential Practice as dental practices reintroduce non-urgent oral health care services.
As of May 4th, dental assistants may assist with urgent care in addition to emergency care, except in Lloydminster.
Subject to the Alberta oral health return-to-work guidelines we provide, RDAs may return to practice.
Until further notice, dental assistants are only authorized to provide emergency treatment.
If you find you have time to fill, it may be an opportunity to look at your CCP learning plan.
Even if you have been temporarily laid off you can access support through the ADA&C MAP.
Update: The ADA&C has suspended all non-emergency dental treatment and services, and has provided Guidelines on Emergency Treatment.
