Phase 2C of Alberta’s COVID-19 Vaccine Program begins today. Health care workers and associated staff who work in acute or community care settings are included in this phase.
Alberta Health stresses that workers should be providing in-person direct patient care or support (such as reception or security) to be eligible. This phase is not intended for dental assistants who are not currently practicing, or who are not having direct contact with patients.
Students who are currently in practicum placements or who provide care through teaching clinics or labs at their training institutions are included in this phase.

If you need to provide proof of eligibility when you attend your appointment:
- Dental Assistants can print their Practice Permit in the Portal as proof of professional registration
- Students need to obtain proof from their school
