The Continuing Competence Program (CCP) Review is in its final steps of data collection, with completion of focus groups, surveys, and interviews at the end of October. We sincerely thank everyone who took the time to share their thoughts about and experiences with the CCP.
Data Collection
The focus groups involved dynamic conversation with 16 dental assistants in three face-to-face sessions, and 27 registrants took part in five different online focus groups. Seven stakeholders engaged with us in one-on-one interviews, collecting a more personal perspective from internal and external regulatory experts.
The big win for data collection on this project was the registrant surveys with 583 participants, which represents 8.5% of College registrants. Stakeholder participation involved 24 individuals, providing valuable external perspective for the project as well.
Next Steps
These data collection phases have resulted in a significant amount of information collected from registrants and stakeholders, including members of the public. Final steps of the CCP Review include analysis of the data, and collation into the final report and recommendations.
