Our College’s Council is a team of public and regulated members who work together to govern our College. Their role involves focusing on strategy and setting goals and performance measures. They are looking for two dental assistants to be part of their team for the 2024-27 term.
We encourage all dental assistants who meet our eligibility criteria to apply. Diverse practice and life experiences enhance the team’s ability to consider different viewpoints and enrich discussion at the Council table.

Council Appointment is Merit-Based
To fill available Council positions, we recruit applicants based on the needs of our current Council team and the attributes, competencies and experiences the applicants will contribute to the team.
Briefly, our merit-based appointments involve:
- Council identifies their needs for the upcoming term
- we invite applicants
- the Appointment Committee reviews anonymous applications, interviews and recommends candidates to Council
- Council considers the Committee’s recommendations and makes appointments
