Seeking public members for committees

January 7, 2026

Who we are

The College of Alberta Dental Assistants oversees the professionals who provide Albertans with dental assisting care. We protect the public interest by setting standards for competence, ethics, and practice, and by ensuring that dental assistants provide safe, ethical, patient-centred care.

Why public participation matters

The Council and the College are committed to ensuring that the public’s perspective is at the heart of our decisions. One way we do this is by engaging Albertans meaningfully in our work—not only at the Council level but also through our committees. These committees play a vital role in upholding professional standards and supporting our governance work, and we want your voice at the table.

Why join us?

  • Use your skills and experience for community benefit.
  • Gain valuable governance and committee experience.
  • Make a meaningful contribution to our College.
  • Collaborate with dedicated professionals and community members.
  • We offer an honorarium for your time and participation.

Who we’re looking for

We invite Albertans from all professions, communities, and experiences to apply. Prior board or committee experience is helpful but not required—we value a broad range of perspectives. Applicants:

  • must be a resident of Alberta
  • bring insight from a public perspective
  • bring experience and qualifications that align with the needs of the committee
