We recognize the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) written examination and Clinical Practice Evaluation (CPE) as entry-to-practice standards.
If you graduated from a CDAC-accredited* dental assisting program, you must pass the NDAEB written examination to be eligible for registration.
If you graduated from a non-accredited* program, you must pass the NDAEB written examination and CPE to be eligible for registration.
Contact the NDAEB for information about exam and CPE locations, dates, fees and how to apply.
If you are in the process of completing your NDAEB requirements, you may be eligible for Provisional Registration.
*Accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada. Check their website to confirm your program’s accreditation status.
