We recognize the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB) written examination and Clinical Practice Evaluation (CPE) as entry-to-practice standards.
If you completed a CDAC-accredited* dental assisting program, you must pass the NDAEB written examination and have the NDAEB Certificate to be eligible for registration.
If you completed a non-accredited* program, you must pass the NDAEB written examination and CPE and have the NDAEB Certificate to be eligible for registration.
Contact the NDAEB for information about exam and CPE locations, dates, fees and how to apply.
If you are in the process of completing your NDAEB requirements, you may be eligible for Provisional Registration.
*Accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada at the time of program completion. Contact their office Check their website to confirm your program’s accreditation status.
