Andrea Snow joined our College in January as Complaints Manager. Council has appointed her as our Complaints Director, effective May 26, 2025. Andrea is stepping into the role as Susan vander Heide retires.
Over the last several months, Andrea has become familiar with our College and conduct program by managing the intake of complaints and other concerns regarding the conduct of dental assistants and communicating with others about our conduct processes. She understands our systems and how we address complaints, providing for a smooth transition.
Currently the part-time Complaints Director for other colleges, Andrea has experience in the role. This has allowed her to see and understand various ways of managing and leading complaints effectively and efficiently. She has a strong background in policy and legislation, holds a Certificate in Tribunal Administrative Justice and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Foundation of Administrative Justice.
Andrea is driven by her passion for administrative justice. With extensive experience in leadership roles across both public and private sectors, she focuses on upholding professional standards and ethics and is widely recognized for her commitment to fairness and equity.
When she is not working, Andrea cherishes time spent with her family, particularly baking with her grandchildren. Guided by the family motto, “always be nice,” Andrea prioritizes compassion and empathy in all aspects of her life. While she approaches enforcement matters with seriousness, this motto remains the guiding principle in her approach to work and relationships alike.
