The College regulates dental assisting in Alberta within a legislative and policy framework that supports public protection, accountability, and safe practice.

This framework includes legislation set by the Government of Alberta, as well as the College’s bylaws and policies, which guide how we carry out our regulatory responsibilities and how dental assistants are expected to practise.

Health Professions Act (HPA)
